The Boonah Show has been cancelled for 2020

At a lengthy meeting of the management committee last night, members decided to cancel rather than postpone the annual Show.

“We considered whether we should look at a date later in the year but decided that the better option was to put all our energy and resources into a bigger and better Show in 2021,” Show Secretary, Beth Hern said.

“We deliberated at great lengths, and reluctantly agreed that due to the COVID-19 virus situation our only option was to close the Showgrounds, and cancel all events, including the  2020 Show.

 “We feel strongly that we have a duty of care to protect our existing tenants and our caretakers, so in view of this we have also closed the Caravan Park & Camping Grounds until further notice.”
