1 min read

A bushfire is burning uncontrolled in National Park in the Mount Barney area between Upper Logan Road and Klan Road.

Bulldozers are creating firebreaks and back burning is being conducted in an effort to restrict the spread.

The fire is in inaccessible land doesn’t not pose a threat to any buildings according to Queensland Fire and Emergency Services.

The Rural Fire Services are assisting the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service in trying to contain the fire which got out of control early on Thursday morning.

Residents are asked to close windows and doors and if suffering from a respiratory condition, keep medications close by.
