Mt French and Mt Greville national parks are closed due to fire danger until next Tuesday. The Main Range National Park, with the exception of the Queen Mary Falls section, is closed until the end of November.

These closures were accompanied by a Statewide fire ban in all national parks, however, this was later superceded in many areas by the State of Fire Emergency.

The restrictions mean that open fires are not allowed in any park, anywhere in the state, regardless of the local fire danger.

Rangers will be closely monitoring conditions and park closures will be considered as needed.
