Hazard reduction burn at Mt Alford

The Mt Alford Rural Fire Brigade conducted a controlled burn behind the Mt Alford township on Saturday.

The brigade were getting ahead of what could potentially be another dangerous fire season by reducing the fuel load in a paddock full of long dry grass.

And as can be seen in our photo, while the fire moved quickly, but was closely monitored.
