EIGHT firefighting crews are working to get a wild fire under control at Eugenie Court in Mundoolun.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) report that the fire was called in through a '000' call around 11am Wednesday.

He said one crew was despatched but due to the size of the blaze, reinforcements were brought in.

It is unknown how the fire started.
