Earths Energy plans to focus on exploring for geothermal resources across a large swathe of the Scenic Rim as well as parts of the Ipswich and Logan local government areas. Currently, the ASX listed company is in the early stages of applying for a State Government permit to explore an area covering 2,612 square miles for geothermal potential. If a permit is granted and a viable source found in its tenement block EPG 2036, it will seek a permit to establish one or more closed loop geothermal power plants.
