Lights and toilets are grant winners

A $225,000 windfall had all parties smiling at the Teviot Park equestrian complex in the Boonah Showgrounds, on Monday. Member for Scenic Rim Jon Krause, who supported the grant application to the State Government's Sport and Recreation Minor Infrastructure and Inclusive Facilities Fund; Teviot Park Project Co-ordinator Phil Gutzke and Boonah Show Society Vice President, Anthony Neibling. The money will fund the construction of an amenities block for the facility in conjunction with an input of more than $40,000 by the Show Society. Other local winners in the grant round were Scenic Rim Regional Council ($250,000 to install lighting at the Tamborine Mountain football field) the Rathdowney and District Memorial Grounds committee ($124,374 to construct amenities at the football grounds), the Boonah Golf Club ($62,000 to construct cart paths at the Bruckner Hill Road golf course).
