Scenic Rim Eat Local Week and the Winter Harvest Festival has been cancelled by council.

The decision was made on Monday in line with the tightening of crowd restrictions brought in by Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, during the weekend to slow the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Eat Local Week draws thousands of visitors to the Scenic Rim every year.

It was set to mark its 10th anniversary this year but celebrations will be held over to the 2021 event timed to run from June 26 to July 4.
