A popular Ipswich landmark will remain closed until further notice, leaving many residents angry over the lockout.
Despite regular opening hours being advertised on the council’s website, when Ipswich resident Reannan Turner went to take her daughter to the Denmark Hill Water Reservoir she was unable to reach the lookout.
Almost nine flights of stairs will get you to the top of the tower, but Ms Turner and her daughter had only walked up two before they were greeted with a locked gate.
“I went to the tower last Tuesday to view the super moon,” Ms Turner said.
“My daughter and I walked up the stairs and halfway up discovered the gate
