The prominent feature of the Little Llangothlin Nature Reserve is the Little Llangothlin Lagoon which is listed as a wetland of international importance (a Ramsar Wetland).

On the morning following my attempt at a birthday celebration, I awoke with a stinking hangover, and a text from a friend; “Hey mate, I know you’re not planning to leave until Friday, but I’ve just heard that the border to Queensland may be closing earlier, I’d head off tomorrow if you can”.
