The heritage-listed former Blackstone State School buildings are proposed to be repurposed for a medical centre that would be available to Ipswich residents after hours.
The former state school was established in 1887 and operated for 122 years before being shut down by the ‘State Schools of Tomorrow’ program in 2009.
Now, there’s a proposal to ‘upcycle’ the vacant buildings on Hill Street.
