A KFC drive through and car wash facility has been proposed for the Karalee Shopping Village expansion. 

Consolidated Properties Group, submitted an application to Ipswich City Council for a material change of use to have the site designated as ‘Business Uses’. 

Applications have previously been submitted for the site on 39 Junction Road and 7001 Perseverance Street in Chuwar to develop indoor recreation facilities and a medical centre, however neither were carried out. 

The application noted the KFC is expected to have a ground floor area of 217sqm and the non-mechanical car wash, 13sqm. Site plans indicate the two businesses will be located at separate ends of the shopping centre. 

The development is proposed to be located within an existing car park and operate from 6am to 10pm.
