Steve and Ross Blanch receive the award for Norco’s Most Improved Milk Quality with their mother Esme Blanch.
Lower Mount Walker dairy farmers Ross and Steve Blanch have been awarded the Most Improved Milk Quality Award for 2020 to 2021 from Norco Milk.
The brothers who are partners in the family farm said that they were proud to have received this award especially after the 2017 to 2019 drought.
“It was hard times on the farm during the recent times of drought, keeping our livestock fed and healthy was a priority and something that became quite challenging,” Ross said.
“After recovering from those challenges and being chosen for this award makes it all worth it … almost like a light at the end of what was a challenging tunnel.”
Norco Milk suppliers in Queensland and New South Wales were all eligible for the award.
The Blanch brothers were presented with their award at a special presentation and dinner in Toowoomba.
They described it as a surreal experience which they thoroughly enjoyed.
