The Boonah Country Markets are coming back with new stalls and more room so you can safely social distance while shopping.
Market secretary Kathy Keogh said the most important thing they want people to know is they are doing everything possible to make sure it is safe to go to the markets which restart on Saturday, June 13.
“We are going to have 2 sanitising stations and we’ve put more distance between each stall so no one has to get too close,” Kathy said.
“This is the first time in 25 years that we’ve had to close the markets, so we are being very careful so we can stay open.”
Most of the regular stalls that market shoppers are used to, will be there, plus there will be a few new treats.
“Our new stalls include pottery, antiques, arts and craft and a Turkish Wrap style food truck.
“Everyone is chasing fresh food and plants at the moment and we will have plenty of both.
If you’ve started cooking, gardening or picked up a new hobby while you were stuck at home, they have everything there at the markets to help keep the passion going.
“You could maybe find a new hobby or come down to do some antiquing.”
“We want to make sure everyone enjoys the market and feel safe while they are here.”
