Contact tracing at Orion after Covid-19 case visit

New contract tracing locations were released by Queensland Health on Thursday night.

The number of venues in Ipswich visited by a Covid-19 infected person has grown.

On September 2, an infected person visited the Orion Springfield Central Shopping Centre between 12.25pm and 1.19pm.

The following places at the shopping centre are known to have come into contact with the person:

  • Big W between 12.33pm and 12.42pm
  • City Beach between 12.42pm and 12.59pm
  • Woolworths between 1.02pm and 1.13pm
  • Stacks Discount Variety between 1.14pm and 1.19pm

A person infected with the virus also visited Peter McMahon’s Swim Factory at the Orion Shopping Centre between 4pm and 4.30pm.

Queensland Health warns: Anyone who has been to the following locations at these times should monitor their health and, if they develop even the mildest of COVID-19 symptoms, get tested.

City Beach closed on Sunday, September 6, to undertake a deep clean, Woolworths undertook a deep clean overnight on Sunday and Big W, Stacks Discount and Peter McMahon’s Swim Factory were working closely with QLD Health and were able to remain trading.
