Toilet pump stolen, school zone speed limits resume: Police Report

Pump theft from public toilet block

Kalbar Police are investigating the theft of a water pump from the Fassifern Reserve Toilet block between April 14 and 15.

The padlock on the door securing where the pump was located was cut off by the thief or thieves.

Any person with information is asked to contact Kalbar Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Residents comply with Covid-19 restrictions

Police are very pleased with the continued compliance of our communities towards the directions being issued by the Queensland Chief Health Officer.

“In doing so you are assisting in the prevention of the spread of the virus and protecting the most vulnerable members of our community,” Sgt Peter Boyce said.  “People need to continue to conform with their Covid-19 personal responsibilities.”

School resumes

Residents are asked to remember that Term 2 in our schools begins this week.

While there has been much media interest about the school term and a new remote learning package, there will still be students attending local schools within the Fassifern.

As such, drivers need to be aware that the speed restrictions in school zones will still be enforced.

Please be mindful of the 40kph speed limit in the mornings and afternoons.
