Police have confirmed two people who were on board a light aircraft that crashed near the Boonah Golf Club have died.

Reports of the incident were made to emergency services just before midday on Sunday.

The aircraft crashed into the paddock opposite the entrance to the golf clubhouse on Bruckners Hill Road at Dugandan.

Police closed Bruckner Hill Road on the rise above the intersection with Milford Road and the intersection with Allandale Road. Woodfull Street off Milford Road is also closed.
