THE third stage of the Kalbar Country Estate subdivision is currently under consideration by the Scenic Rim Regional Council.
A town planning report submitted by AJS Surveys outlines plans by local developer Jersey Enterprises to subdivide a 4.56 hectare piece of land into 32 allotments in addition to a large allotment containing an existing home.
The subdivision represents the third stage of the Kalbar Country Estate.
The applicant proposes to develop the new subdivision in six stages – opening up five allotments in each of the five stages and seven allotments in the second stage.
All of the allotments are proposed to be more than 1,000sqm in size with one exception, which has an area of 995sqm.
As part of the development, Wheatfield Street and Pioneer Drive will be extended to form the internal road network servicing the new allotments, Charles Street will also be extended.
If Council approval is gained, the Kalbar Country Estate, on completion of the final stage, will consist of 118 allotments.
