Long standing Churchill Abattoir hits the market

A former leading Australian abattoir is on the market in Ipswich for more than $30 million.

For the past 20 years, Churchill abattoir has been owned and operated by Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Barry Moule, in partnership with agribusiness investors, the Hall family from Millmerran.

The abattoir was originally developed by the Queensland Government as one of five public abattoirs across the state and was in operation for 18 years.

The 109-hectare property, including 68 hectares of grazing land, is located on the Bremer River, along the Mitchell Highway, four kilometres south of the Ipswich CBD in Yamanto.
