The road surface on the Cunningham Highway between Sugarloaf Road and Glencairn Road at Mutdapilly is scheduled for improvement works.

Member for Scenic Rim, Jon Krause, said he received the news that works are now scheduled to begin in mid-February and are estimated to be completed by the end of April.

“These roadworks will focus on pavement repair and rehabilitation, replacement of existing asphalt and reinstatement of line marking,” he said.

“These improvement works are a step in the right direction, but I encourage all residents to continue contacting me with concerns so that I can lobby the State Labor Government to deliver the funding and infrastructure the Scenic Rim Electorate needs.

“This is a good start, but more needs to be done on the Cunningham Highway to improve safety for all road users, including at the Amberley Interchange,” Mr Krause said.
