DONATIONS to the total of $3,000 were presented to Fassifern community groups on Saturday by the Boonah Country Markets Committee.
The presentations are an annual event for the Markets committee and the donations are funded through the collection of stallholder fees at the bi-monthly markets at Springleigh Park in Boonah.
Long standing committee president, Nathan Keogh, said the committee chooses what usually amounts to six organisations every year as beneficiaries.
“This year, we chose two rural fire brigades, the community radio station, the local kindergarten, the Templin Museum and the High School Chaplaincy.
“It’s our way of giving back to the community and adding to the spirit of Christmas.”
Each of the six organisations received a donation of $500.
