Six Ipswich kindies are set to receive more than $210,000 to support local vulnerable and disadvantaged children, as part of the new Kindy Uplift Pilot Program.
The program, established by the Queensland Government, has been allocated $40 million over three years from 2022 – 2024 for more than 400 kindies across Queensland.
On September 4, a spokeswoman from the Department of Education said Silkstone’s Amaroo Kambu was announced as the first to participate with other kindergartens involved in the trial yet to be announced.
The State has now revealed that five other Ipswich Kindergartens will also be part of the program - Jacaranda Street Community Preschool and Kindergarten, The Glebe Road Community Kindergarten, Raceview Congregational Pre School and Kindergarten, and Roderick Street Community Pre-School and Kindergarten.
