Some of Fassifern’s coaches in all grades gathered for a photo on the night with a highlight for many was the attendance of former A Grade coach Kev Dixon (front and centre). Dicko coached the Bombers from 1988-1990 and took the side to their first ever A Grade Grand Final appearance way back in 1989.

Fassifern Rugby League Football Club launched their season on Saturday, March 14, with a reunion themed function aimed at recognising Life Members, sponsors and former Bombers especially those with perpetual Memorial Trophies bearing their names.
Around 100 past and present players and supporters gathered at the Harrisville School of Arts to reminisce on times gone by all the while hopeful of a strong, successful RLI season 2020 for the club.
Current club coaches, Michael Hayes and Cary Cobbin, spoke at length on their season ahead but the real theme of the night was to relay to current players and supporters just who some of the clubs most prestigious awards were named after and what those persons did in their time with the club.
Whether they were club legends, stalwarts or just all round good blokes, their stories were told and told well by those who knew them best, family members.
The community spirit that runs so strong in the Bombers family shows no signs of abating judging by the walk down memory lane shared by old Bombers and new club members alike and a big season awaits.
