BOONAH’S two senior soccer teams delivered encouraging performances for different reasons in their latest Queensland Christian Soccer Association matches.
The Brumbies Senior women only lost 2-0 to Division 1 competition leaders Brisbane Valley in a testing trip to Lowood.
Although still winless, the women gained a boost for their final two games after a bye this weekend.
The Brumbies Senior men lost 3-2 to unbeaten Division 4 leaders St Catherines Grey.
But with three games to go, the Boonah men showed they are still in the hunt for the finals.
The Brumbies’ next opponent is WEFC at Coronation Park on Saturday.
The Brumbies Over-30 men’s side slipped to sixth place on a congested Division 2 table after losing 1-0 to Raceview.
The Brumbies have six wins, three draws and four losses to sit behind fourth and fifth place teams Whitehill and Brisbane Valley, who have the same record – seven wins, two draws and four losses.
Boonah’s next O30 match, against unbeaten competition leaders Logan United on Friday night, is crucial to their top four hopes.
