The Fassifern Guardian is online after 118 years of being a print only publication.
Just like the paper, the news will not be free and we ask readers to pay a monthly or yearly fee to help us keep bringing them the news.
The news website will compliment the newspaper by bringing readers breaking news on top of the weekly stories that feature in print.
We received a grant to kickstart the business model but that does not provide a revenue stream.
Websites can be demanding on time and have to be updated frequently and we have been working on the website for the past seven months in order to get it up to scratch.
We believe the website will be a great asset for the community just as the newspaper has and will continue to be.
Our bushfire coverage and other emergency situations will be free to all readers as the safety of our community is important to us.
We are a family run small business just like many in our region and we ask that you support us, so we can continue to keep the community informed.
Over the years we have won many awards for our reporting and we will continue to cut through government spin masquerading as "good news stories".
