Minor increase on Scenic Rim parks spending

Spending by Council on parks and landscape maintenance will increase by about one percent to $3.7 million, this financial year.

The budget includes funds for minor capital works such as bollard fencing  ($60,000), general infrastructure ($30,000) and landscaping ($225,000).

A total of $30,000 will go towards the upkeep of the Tamborine Mt Botanical Gardens and takes in the $17,000 from one of the government Bushfire Recovery grants to improve the carpark area in Canungra’s Moriarty Park.
